The Wales defender has earned huge amounts of praise for his mature performances for the Blues in recent seasons after having broken into the first team under Antonio Conte last term.
Ampadu arrived at Stamford Bridge from Exeter City last summer and he has also been shining for his national team in recent weeks.
The 18-year-old is yet to make his first appearance for Chelsea FC this season after the appointment of Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
However, if he continues his solid performances, it surely won’t be long before he is a first-team regular for the west London club.
And Ampadu has expressed his delight at putting pen to paper on a new long-term contract with the Blues this week.
Speaking to Chelsea FC’s website after signing the new deal, Ampadu said: “I’m really proud and happy.
“I’m looking forward to the next five years and all I have got to do now is continue to work hard, and hopefully good things will happen.”
Chelsea FC are currently preparing for their Europa League clash against PAOK away from home on Thursday night.
The Blues will then switch their focus back to Premier League affairs and their trip to West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.
