Micahel Owen is backing Tottenham Hotspur to ease to an emphatic win against Huddersfield Town on Saturday evening.
Spurs lost to Watford and Liverpool FC in successive Premier League games to lose ground on their title rivals.
Tottenham squandered a 1-0 lead to suffer a 2-1 defeat by Serie A side Inter Milan in their Champions League opener at the San Siro earlier this month.
The Lilywhites managed to ease talk of growing crisis thanks to a 2-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion on the south coast last weekend.
Tottenham came from behind to beat Watford on penalties in the Carabao Cup third round after a 2-2 draw in 90 minutes.
Huddersfield, meanwhile, have collected two points from their opening six games in the Premier League.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing Spurs to ease to victory over the Terries in their next fixture on Saturday afternoon.
“Town supporters have yet to see their side find the back of the net at home this season and it might be another barren weekend for the Terriers when Spurs visit the John Smith’s Stadium,” Owen told BetVictor.
“Erik Lamela has given Mauricio Pochettino a welcome headache in recent weeks with the Belgium international coming off the bench to score in Spurs’ last couple of league games. He will be itching for a start.
“Spurs have scored in 31 of their last 32 PL games and I expect them to take all three points in west Yorkshire.”
Harry Kane finished as the second-highest goal-scorer in the Premier League last term after the Spurs striker netted 31 goals.
Tottenham are in fifth place in the Premier League table and a point behind Watford, who occupy the final Champions League qualification spot.
Spurs haven’t won the Premier League title but have finished in third place in the last three seasons.
