The north London side head into the game looking to back up their recent results after they claimed a 2-1 win at Brighton in the top flight last weekend.
Spurs also booked their place in the fourth round of the League Cup in midweek when they sealed a penalty shoot-out victory over Watford at Wembley on Wednesday night.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have endured something of a stuttering start to the new campaign and they lost back to back Premier League games against Liverpool FC and Watford earlier this month.
However, former Liverpool FC star Lawrenson is backing the Lilywhites to claim all three points when they travel to Huddersfield Town in the top flight this weekend.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Lawrenson said: “Huddersfield are yet to win in the league this season and are bottom of the table after their defeat by Leicester, and it is hard to see things improving for them this weekend.
“Spurs were very impressive when they won here last season, and I think we will see the same outcome this time.
“It is very difficult to talk about Huddersfield without being critical because, although they are organised and competitive, they don’t really look like scoring goals.
“There is nothing wrong with the Terriers’ application, it just comes down to a lack of quality.”
Tottenham are looking to establish themselves as one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this season.
The north London side are currently fifth in the table and six points behind leaders Liverpool FC heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures.
They finished in third place in the Premier League table last term behind the two Manchester clubs.
