The Englishman starred for the Reds during a 3-0 win against Southampton on Saturday, which saw the club extended their winning run to seven consecutive matches.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have started the season with a bang, picking up credible wins against the likes of Leicester City, Tottenham and Paris Saint Germain on the domestic and European front.
Liverpool look set to mount a genuine title this term as well as compete for silverware in the cup competitions and Alexander-Arnold looks likely to play a big part in the team’s progress going forward.
According to Collymore, the 19-year-old looks like a Liverpool veteran, as he told the Daily Mirror: “Still looking as though he’s been Liverpool’s right-back for years, the England youngster turned in a fine display against Southampton that included an assist.”
Klopp’s side kick off their Carabao Cup campaign with a heavyweight clash against Chelsea on Wednesday night, before returning to action in the Premier League to face their London rivals again on Saturday.
Both games could provide Liverpool with their biggest challenge yet and if they can come out on top, it would further cement their status as the in-form team in English football at the moment.
Alexander-Arnold has been brilliant in defence so far and supporters will hope he continues to improve as the months progress and the fixtures start to pile up for the Merseyside giants.
