Ian Wright has reiterated that he is confident Liverpool FC will win the Premier League title this season.

The Reds are top of the Premier League table after their win over Southampton at the weekend, with Jurgen Klopp’s men setting the pace in the race for the title.

Liverpool FC passed their toughest test so far this term last weekend when the Reds were 2-1 winners against Tottenham Hotspur.

Goals from Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino sealed three points against their title rivals at Wembley.

Liverpool FC are already two points ahead of defending champions Manchester City after their perfect start to the season following their 3-0 win over Southampton on Saturday.

Former Arsenal striker Wright believes the Reds can win the Premier League crown this term.

“I am going to continue to tip Liverpool because they way they have strengthened,” Wright told Sky Sports. “Up front, they’re just as good if not better.”

Liverpool FC signed AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho, RB Leipzig star Naby Keita, Stoke City forward Xherdan Shaqiri and AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker in the summer transfer window.

The Reds have reached three cup finals under Klopp but Liverpool FC are still waiting to secure their first piece of silverware.

The Merseyside outfit have won their first five games at the start of the season for the first time since 1990.
