Rio Ferdinand defends Mo Salah’s reaction to Liverpool FC winner
The Man United legend believes Mo Salah was happy with Liverpool FC's winner against PSG on Tuesday night

Rio Ferdinand has rubbished the suggestion that Mo Salah was unhappy with Roberto Firmino’s winner in Liverpool FC’s 3-2 win against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.
The Reds managed to secure three points from their Champions League opener in dramatic fashion after the Brazil international came off the bench to net the decisive strike.
Daniel Sturridge broke the deadlock in the 30th minute before James Milner doubled the home side’s lead from the penalty spot to put Liverpool FC in command of the tie.
PSG halved the deficit before half-time and World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe netted an 84th minute equaliser to seemingly rescue a point for the visitors.
Salah was guilty of giving away possession in the lead up to Mbappe’s leveller after Neymar picked out the France international.
Firmino, though, came off the bench to fire a winner into the corner of PSG’s net to ensure Liverpool FC made a winning start to their Champions League campaign.
His team-mate Salah was caught on the television cameras seemingly throwing a bottle to the ground to prompt suggestions that the PFA player of the year wasn’t entirely happy with the winner.
Former Manchester United defender Ferdinand rubbished the claim that Salah was frustrated to be on the bench when the winner was scored.
“I hope so,” Ferdinand told BT Sport. “I think you have to [look at] the way this team is, the bond they have out there on the pitch.”
They've done it! 🙌
