Alan Shearer has claimed that James Milner would walk into the midfields of most Premier League teams following his strong form for Liverpool FC.

The midfielder has been in solid form for the Reds so far this season and has scored one goal and made two assists for Jurgen Klopp’s men in four Premier League games.

Milner has helped Liverpool FC to notch up four straight wins in the top flight to lead the way at the top of the Premier League table.

The 32-year-old has proved himself to be a versatile member of the Liverpool FC squad and he has been earning lots of praise for his performances under the German boss.

And England legend Shearer has been hugely impressed by what he has seen from Milner so far this season in a Liverpool FC shirt.

Writing in his column for The Sun, Shearer said: “On current form, would any team — maybe outside of the club he left, Manchester City — not want James Milner in their ranks right now?

“Anywhere Klopp plays him he does a job and, right now, he is a powerhouse in the centre of the park.”

Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley later this month.

The Merseyside outfit are still looking to win their first trophy since Klopp’s appointment at Anfield back in October 2015.
