Hazard has been in good form for the Blues so far this term and has helped the west London side to notch up four wins in a row in the Premier League under new manager Maurizio Sarri.
The Belgian playmaker’s future at Stamford Bridge was a constant source of speculation in the summer months, with the 27-year-old having been touted as a target for Real Madrid.
However, he ended up staying at the west London club and has started the season strongly under new boss Sarri.
Liverpool FC defender Robertson was asked about Hazard in the lead-up to Scotland’s friendly with Belgium on Friday night, and the Reds star admitted that he holds the former Lille attacker in high regard.
Speaking at his pre-match news conference, Robertson said: “He is probably in the top five [players in the world] at the minute.
“I have come up against him many times so I know what threat he can have.
“Even if he is having a quiet game, he can pop up at any point and turn a game. That is what we are up against.”
Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when they host Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are looking to try and win the Premier League title this season after they ended up in fifth place last term under Antonio Conte.
