Ian Wright is backing Liverpool FC to win the Premier League title this season.

The Merseyside outfit have made a brilliant start to the new campaign under Jurgen Klopp, with the Reds having won all four of their opening four Premier League games to leave them at the top of the table.

Liverpool FC are now preparing for a stern test of their title credentials when they travel to Wembley to take on Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday lunchtime.

The Reds are aiming to establish themselves as one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this season, as they look to win their first major trophy under Klopp.

And Arsenal legend Wright is convinced that Liverpool FC have what it takes to win the title this season after they made a number of key signings in the summer transfer window.

Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports on Thursday, Wright said: “I tipped Liverpool [for the title] and I’ll continue to say that because of the way they strengthened.

“Up front they are just as good as last season if not better. [Sadio] Mane has started the season very well and I don’t even think [Mohamed] Salah has kicked into gear yet.

“There’s still so much to come and they know it. They are just easing into it at the moment and it’s going to be very exciting.”

Liverpool FC brought Klopp in as the club’s new manager back in October 2015 but the Reds are still looking to win their first major trophy under the German.

They reached the Champions League final last season but ended up losing to Real Madrid in the showpiece back in May.
