The Reds have made a strong start to the new Premier League season and have won all four of their opening top-flight games to leave them top of the table as the early pace-setters.
Liverpool FC will be aiming to be one of the main challengers for the Premier League title this term after they finished in fourth place in the table last season under Jurgen Klopp.
The German manager is still looking to steer Liverpool FC to their first trophy since his appointment as Brendan Rodgers’ successor back in 2015.
And although Evans has been suitably impressed by what he has seen from the Reds so far this season, he feels that there is still a lot more room for improvement from the Merseyside outfit.
Speaking to Liverpool FC’s website, Evans said: “So far this season it has been win, win, win – which is brilliant.
“We’re not playing at our very best, Jürgen has admitted that and I agree. We have not been brilliant but we’ve been a lot more compact.
“To win games on the days you don’t play so well, that’s a hint of saying you have a chance to win the Premier League because when we play well, which is most of the time, we win.
“And if we can add the results of the odd bad day to it, you’re going to be pretty close.”
Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when they travel to Tottenham Hotspur in the top flight.
The Merseyside outfit reached the Champions League final last season but lost to Real Madrid in the showpiece.
