Joel Matip sends warning to his Liverpool FC team-mates
Joel Matip says Liverpool FC still have a lot of room for improvement this season

Joel Matip has warned his Liverpool FC team-mates that there is still plenty of room for improvement despite their 3-0 win over Southampton on Saturday.
Matip was among the scorers as Jurgen Klopp’s men notched up comfortable victory in front of their home fans to maintain their 100 per cent start to the new campaign under the German manager.
Liverpool FC have won all six of their opening games this season and it’s clear that the Reds are likely to be one of the main challengers for the title this term.
The Merseyside outfit have been earning lots of praise for their strong displays this season as they look to try and win their first major trophy under Klopp.
However, Matip has suggested that Saturday’s win was not as comfortable as the scoreline suggests, and he says that the Reds must focus on improving their game.
Speaking in an interview with Liverpool FC’s website, Matip said: “Today [on Saturday] we had a few problems but we can still increase.
“We are on a good way and if we win everything is fine, but we know we have to get better and I am still positive.”
Liverpool FC will return to League Cup action on Wednesday night when they take on Chelsea FC in the third round at Anfield.
The Reds will then prepare to head to Stamford Bridge to take on Maurizio Sarri’s side in west London next weekend.
