Klopp watched his side be pegged back and then slump to a 2-1 loss to the Blues in the League Cup third round at Anfield on Wednesday night as Chelsea FC reached the fourth round.
Daniel Sturridge had given the home side the lead in the 58th minute, but Chelsea FC fought back and equalised through Emerson, before Eden Hazard netted a superb solo goal in the 85th minute.
Chelsea FC are now preparing to welcome Liverpool FC to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League showdown on Saturday evening.
And Klopp has warned his side that they will have to step up their performance at the back if they want to take anything from this weekend’s trip to west London.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Wednesday, Klopp said: “This is good preparation for Saturday but we have to defend better.”
Liverpool FC head into the game flying high at the top of the Premier League table after having won all six of their opening top flight games.
Chelsea FC know that a win over Klopp’s men would move them one point clear of the Reds as the race for this season’s Premier League title begins to gather pace.
