Linda Pizzuti Henry, the wife of Liverpool FC owner John W Henry, has taken to social media to celebrate the club’s record-breaking start to the new season.

The Merseyside outfit moved back to the top of the Premier League table on Saturday as they claimed a thumping 3-0 win over Southampton in front of their home fans at Anfield.

Xherdan Shaqiri’s shot deflected off Wesley Hoedt as the Reds took the lead, before goals from Joel Matip and Mohamed Salah notched up the three points for the Merseyside outfit.

The Reds are now two points ahead of second-placed Manchester City, while Chelsea FC will take on West Ham United in the top flight later on Sunday afternoon.

And Linda Henry was clearly delighted to see the Reds make such a strong start to the new campaign as they celebrated the victory over the Saints at Anfield on Saturday.

She posted on Twitter: “Record breaking 7 straight wins to start the season for Liverpool!”

Liverpool FC will now turn their attentions towards two clashes against Chelsea FC in the coming days.

The Reds will first host the Blues at Anfield in the League Cup third round on Wednesday night, before they travel to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League next Saturday evening.
