Virgil van Dijk has warned his Liverpool FC team-mates that they are in for a stern test of their Premier League title credentials when they travel to Tottenham on Saturday.

The Reds have made a solid start to the new campaign under Jurgen Klopp and have won all four of their opening matches to lead the way at the top of the Premier League table.

Van Dijk has been in solid form at the back for Liverpool FC as the defender begins his first full season at Anfield following his move from Southampton back in January.

Liverpool FC now travel to Wembley for a serious test of their Premier League title aspirations, and Van Dijk is well aware of the threat posed by Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Speaking to Liverpool FC’s website about the game, Van Dijk said: “It’ll be a very hard and tough game. They’re a very good team, but we are as well.

“It’s going to be very interesting, but I am looking forward to the challenge.”

Liverpool FC are aiming to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title this season after the Reds finished in fourth place and without a trophy last season.

The Reds earned lots of praise for their form in Europe last season as they reached the Champions League final but ended up losing to Real Madrid back in May.
