Virgil van Dijk has taken to social media to issue a Liverpool FC rallying cry ahead of the Reds’ Premier League showdown with Tottenham on Saturday lunchtime.

The Reds head into the game looking to preserve their 100 per cent start to the new season after their flying start under Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool FC are aiming to be one of the main challengers for the Premier League title this season as they look to try and win their first trophy under Klopp.

Van Dijk has been in good form so far this term after having begun his first full season at Liverpool FC following his move from Southampton back in January.

The Netherlands defender was voted as the Merseyside outfit’s player of the month for August following the Reds’ strong start to the new campaign.

And Van Dijk took to social media to thank Liverpool FC fans for their support and insist that the Reds are fully focused on Saturday’s clash against Spurs at Wembley.

Van Dijk shared the photo above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Great feeling to have been named the @stanchart Player of the Month for August, it means a lot!

“Thank you to all of my teammates for helping me on the pitch! full focus now on our big game on Saturday #YNWA 😃.”

Liverpool FC reached the Champions League final last season but ended up losing to Real Madrid back in May.

The Reds ended up in fourth place in the table.
