Roy Evans believes that Liverpool FC will be one of two or three title contenders in the Premier League this season.

The Reds have made a very strong start to the new Premier League season, winning all four of their opening games to leave them top of the table at this early stage of the new campaign.

Liverpool FC were in solid form last season as they reached the Champions League final and finished fourth in the Premier League under Jurgen Klopp.

However, the Merseyside outfit are still looking to win their first trophy under Klopp since his appointment as Brendan Rodgers’ successor back in 2015.

Evans thinks that Liverpool FC are well placed to be one of the main challengers for the Premier League title this season.

Speaking in an interview with Liverpool FC’s website, Evans said: “As starts go, you can’t ask for anything more and I do think we can get better.

“I think we’ll be up there with always two, three or four teams that have got a chance of winning it.

“Hopefully this is our year because I’ve waited long enough! We didn’t win the Premier League in my time or anybody’s time, unfortunately, so I’d like to see us win it.”

Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when the Reds take on Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.

The Reds were 1-0 winners over Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield in their most recent top flight outing before the international break.
