Michael Owen is tipping Naby Keita to score his first competitive goal for Liverpool FC in their Premier League clash with Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

The Guinea international has been settling into life at Anfield after having signed for the Reds from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window.

Keita has been in impressive form for the Merseyside outfit and he has featured in all five of Liverpool FC’s Premier League games so far this season to help them lead the way at the top of the table.

The midfielder did not feature for the Reds as they claimed a 3-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League at Anfield on Tuesday night.

And Owen seems to feel confident that Keita will be amongst the scorers in a Liverpool FC win over Southampton in the Premier League at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

Writing in his column for Bet Victor, Owen said: “Jurgen Klopp may shuffle his pack against the Saints and I expect to see Naby Keita restored to the starting XI.

“I feel the Reds midfielder has goals in his locker and may break his Liverpool duck if given the nod.”

Liverpool FC are aiming to be one of the main challengers for the Premier League title this season, with the Reds having ended up fourth in the table and without a trophy last term.

The Merseyside club are looking to win their first trophy since Jurgen Klopp’s appointment at Anfield back in 2015.
