The Reds head into the game on the back of their thrilling 3-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League opener on Tuesday night as Jurgen Klopp’s men continued their brilliant start to the new campaign.
Liverpool FC have won all five of their opening five Premier League games to leave them challenging Chelsea FC at the top of the Premier League table.
Klopp has been tasked with steering Liverpool FC to a serious Premier League title challenge this season after the Reds finished in fourth place in the table and without a trophy last term.
Next up for Liverpool FC is a home clash against Southampton this weekend as the Reds look to try and continue their 100 per cent start to the new Premier League season.
And Owen does not expect to see the Reds slip up against the Saints on Merseyside on Saturday afternoon.
Writing in his column for Bet Victor, Owen said: “It was a pleasure to be at Anfield midweek where Liverpool were good value for their 3-2 win over PSG in the Champions League.
“The Reds are unbeaten in their last 23 home Premier League games and I will be surprised if Southampton can stop the Red juggernaut.”
Liverpool FC are still aiming to win their first major trophy under Klopp after they reached the Champions League final last term but lost to Real Madrid.
