The Red Devils signed Sanchez in a swap deal from Arsenal in the January transfer window after seeing off competition from Manchester City.
The 29-year-old managed to score three goals in 18 games in all competitions in the second half of the Premier League season.
Sanchez is still waiting to find the net for the first time this term after five appearances in the English top flight so far.
The South American forward has struggled to impress in the Manchester United despite arriving as one of the league’s best players from Arsenal back in January.
The Gunners star scored 80 times in 166 games during three and a half seasons at the north London side.
Manchester United record signing Pogba believes Sanchez is still adapting to life at the 20-time English champions.
“What you have to know about Alexis is that he is a hard worker,” Pogba is quoted as saying by Metro. “He trains very well, he always tries to help the team, talks with the team and everything.
“He will get used to it. When you play a long time with another team and you play different football in that other team, you have some kind of adaptation that you have to have.
“It’s not that he is playing bad. We know that Alexis Sanchez can bring a lot and I’m sure he will.
“‘But he’s not playing bad and he keeps being positive, you know, so that’s the good thing we have to think about.”
Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils signed Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred, FC Porto defender Diogo Dalot and Stoke City goalkeeper Lee Grant in the summer transfer window.
The 20-time English champions will take on West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
