Gareth Bale has once again remained coy when quizzed about the speculation linking him with a return to the Premier League as he continues to be touted as a target for Manchester United.

Bale’s future at the Bernabeu was a source of speculation last summer after he found his first team opportunities to be limited under former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.

The Wales international earned huge amounts of praise for his brilliant performance as he came off the bench to score twice in Real Madrid’s Champions League final win over Liverpool FC back in May.

Bale has long been touted as a possible target for Manchester United, and the attacker himself hinted that he was going to consider his future after the Champions League final.

However, he ended up staying at Real Madrid and he has scored three goals and made two assists in four La Liga games so far this season.

Now, Bale has delivered the latest update on a possible return to the Premier League.

When asked if he would like to return to the Premier League, Bale told the Daily Mail: “You can say yes and no.

“You always want to come back and play in your home league and a part of you will always miss home. But I’m enjoying playing for the biggest club in the world and winning trophies.”

Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their Champions League group-stage opener against Young Boys on Wednesday night away from home.
