Manchester United will set Paul Pogba’s asking price at £200m, according to a report in England.

The Daily Mirror, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Red Devils want a world record fee to consider selling the Manchester United midfielder.

The same article states that FC Barcelona are being linked with a potential swoop to sign the France international following their reported bid in the summer.

According to the same story, the 20-time English champions won’t offload Pogba in a cut-price deal despite the deteriorating relationship between their manager and club record signing.

Pogba was stripped of his role as Manchester United’s second captain ahead of the Red Devils’ 8-7 loss to Championship side Derby County at Old Trafford in the League Cup third round on Tuesday night.

The Manchester United manager used Pogba sparingly in the second half of the 2017-18 season to fuel speculation linking the France star with a move away from the Red Devils.

Pogba appeared to criticise Manchester United’s tactics following a 1-1 draw with promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League last weekend.

Manchester United re-signed Pogba in a club record £89m deal from Serie A giants Juventus last term.
