Troy Deeney has talked up Arsenal duo Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of Watford’s trip to The Emirates on Saturday.

The Gunners were 2-0 winners against Everton in north London last weekend thanks to goals from Aubameyang and Lacazette to seal their fourth successive win.

Arsenal have spent in excess of £100m on the attacking duo in the last two transfer windows to improve their options up front under Arsene Wenger.

Spanish head coach Unai Emery has taken over the reins from Wenger and the former Sevilla boss appears to be getting the best out of the Arsenal duo.

Arsenal can hoist themselves above Watford with a victory over the fourth-placed side at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Watford captain Deeney delivered a glowing verdict on the Arsenal strikers ahead of their Premier League clash this weekend.

“They are a handful. I really like them,” Deeney told BBC Radio 5 Live. “They will score goals. You have to change what you’re doing to combat them.”

Deeney got on the score sheet in Watford’s 3-1 win over Arsenal in the most recent meeting between the two Premier League clubs.

The Gunners have beaten Newcastle United, Eveton, West Ham and Cardiff following successive losses to Manchester City and Chelsea FC.

Arsenal are in sixth spot in the Premier League table and a point adrift of Watford, who occupies the final Champions League spot.
