The Red Devils suffered a setback at Old Trafford last weekend following a 1-1 draw with promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Manchester United signing Fred scored his first Premier League goal in the stalemate with the 2018 Championship winners.
However, the 20-time English champions appear to be in crisis mode following an 8-7 loss to second tier Derby County in the Carabao Cup third round.
The Brazil international has scored one goal in four games in the Premier League to make a solid if unspectacular start to his Old Trafford career.
Fred will be hoping to retain his starting spot in the Manchester United team for the trip to West Ham United at the London Stadium.
The Hammers are unbeaten in their last two Premier League games thanks to a 3-1 win against Everton before a goalless draw with Chelsea FC.
Speaking to Man United’s website about their trip to the Hammers this weekend, Fred said: “We are ready (for West Ham). Every game in the Premier League is a fight, is a hard game and against West Ham it won’t be different. It’s a great team that have new players for this season.
“They are strong but we are Manchester United and we won’t let our heads go down against any team. We need to be strong mentally and tactically.”
Manchester United finished in second spot in the Premier League table last term to secure their best finish since the Sir Alex Ferguson era.
The Red Devils signed Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant in the summer.
