Paul Merson believes Manchester United will drop more points at West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils are in seventh place in the Premier League table and eight points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool FC.

Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw with promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford despite winning their previous three games in all competitions.

Jose Mourinho’s side suffered a humiliating 8-7 loss on penalties to Championship side Derby County at Old Trafford to spiral into crisis mode.

Reports in the British media suggest that the Red Devils manager has become embroiled in a public spat with club record signing Paul Pogba.

West Ham have bounced back from a difficult start to the season with a 3-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park earlier this month.

The Hammers held Chelsea FC to a goalless draw last weekend and Manuel Pellegrini’s men wasted opportunities to score a winner against their bitter rivals.

Former Arsenal star Merson believes Manchester United will drop more points at West Ham on Saturday evening.

“Man Utd are all over the place,” Merson told Sky Sports. “Last week, they drew with Wolves at home and now they’re out of the cup, and West Ham have turned a corner.”

Manchester United signed Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred, FC Porto defender Diogo Dalot and Stoke City goalkeeper Lee Grant in the 2018 summer transfer window.
