The Red Devils have found themselves under pressure in recent weeks after a stuttering start to the new season for Jose Mourinho’s men.
Manchester United have already lost three games this season to heap pressure on the Red Devils boss at this early stage of the campaign.
And the visitors fell behind at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon when Antonio Rudiger fired home in the 21st minute to give Chelsea FC a 1-0 lead at half-time.
However, Manchester United equalised in the 55th minute when Anthony Martial fired home from inside the box.
And the France striker netted his second of the afternoon in the 73rd minute when he fired in to put Manchester United ahead.
But it was Barkley who had the final say, when he netted an equaliser for the home side deep into stoppage time to continue his solid start to the season.
After the goal went in, Lineker wrote on Twitter: “What a week for Ross Barkley. Great to see.”
Barkley has now scored two goals and made two assists in all competitions so far this season.
The draw left Manchester United seven points behind leaders Chelsea FC in the Premier League table.
The Red Devils will return to Champions League action on Tuesday night when they host Juventus at Old Trafford in the group stage.
Chelsea FC, meanwhile, will take on BATE Borisov in the Europa League on Thursday night.
