Willy Caballero has revealed that Jorginho has been the Chelsea FC player who has been impressing him most in training recently.

Jorginho has been settling into life at Stamford Bridge after having signed for the Blues from Italian side Napoli in July following the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as the club’s new manager.

The midfielder has been a regular fixture in the first team under Sarri and he has been earning praise for his strong performances for the Blues in a deep-lying role.

Jorginho has scored one goal in seven Premier League appearances for the west London side and he has started all of Chelsea FC’s top-flight games to help the Blues make it up into third place in the table.

And Cabellero feels that Jorginho – along with Eden Hazard and Willian – has been one of the standout players for the Blues in training so far this season under Sarri.

Asked in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website who has been the best player in training lately, Caballero replied: “This is not a fair question, it’s very hard, but if I had to say one it would be Jorginho.”

He then added: “Willian and Eden Hazard have also been very good.”

Hazard has certainly been in good form for the Blues so far this season, with the Belgian playmaker having earned lots of praise for his performances of late.

The 27-year-old appears to be hitting top gear for the west London side and he has scored six goals and made two assists in seven Premier League appearances for the Blues so far.

Despite his fine form, Hazard’s long-term future at Chelsea FC remains something of a source of speculation.

The attacker’s current contract is set to expire in 2020 and he has long been touted as a possible target for Real Madrid.

If Hazard indicates that he is not willing to sign a new deal with the Blues, Chelsea FC may look to offload him next summer rather than risk losing him for nothing the following year.

Meanwhile, Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Southampton at St Mary’s.
