The England midfielder appears to have been given a new lease of life under new Chelsea FC manager Sarri, and the 24-year-old netted his second Premier League goal of the season against the Red Devils.
Manchester United were 2-1 up and looked to be heading towards the three points, but Barkley netted a dramatic late equaliser deep into stoppage time to preserve Chelsea FC’s unbeaten record.
Barkley has now scored two goals and made one assist in eight Premier League games for the Blues so far this season, although he has only started three times in the top flight under Sarri.
Nevertheless, Barkley has shown significant improvement this season after he struggled during his initial months at the club following his move from Everton back in January.
And the midfielder was clearly delighted to net his first goal for Chelsea FC in front of the club’s home fans in west London.
Barkley posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account after the game and wrote the caption: “First goal at the bridge! #ComeOnChelsea ⚽️🙌🏻✔️.”
Barkley’s next chance to impress for Chelsea FC could come this week.
Chelsea FC will return to Europa League action on Thursday night when they take on BATE Borisov at Stamford Bridge in the Group Stage.
