The Blues have made a strong start to the new campaign under their new manager following his appointment as the club’s new boss back in July.
Sarri took over from Antonio Conte in the summer and the west London side have made an impressive start to the new campaign, winning five and drawing two of their opening seven games in the Premier League.
Those results have left the Blues in third place in the Premier League table and two points behind leaders Manchester City.
The Blues also booked their place in the fourth round of the League Cup with a 2-1 win over Liverpool FC at Anfield last week.
Sarri has been tasked with first steering Chelsea FC to a top-four finish in the Premier League, with the Blues having ended up in fifth place under Conte last term.
However, Sarri has warned his side that finishing in the Champions League spots will be no easy feat despite their impressive start to the new season.
Speaking at his post-match news conference after Chelsea FC’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool FC on Saturday, Sarri said: “Here there are six or seven top-level teams, top-level in Europe, not just England, so it’s not easy to get into the Champions League.
“We have to try of course, try to stay near them and try to improve more.”
