Maurizio Sarri has hinted that Eden Hazard could miss Chelsea FC’s trip to Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday due to a back injury.

The Belgian playmaker has been in sensational form this season following the appointment of Sarri as the club’s new manager back in July.

Hazard has scored seven goals in the Premier League so far this term to leave him at the top of the goal-scoring charts in the English top flight.

The 27-year-old has also notched up three assists in the top flight for his team-mates to help Chelsea FC up into third place in the Premier League table after nine games.

Hazard has been struggling with a back injury in recent days and he missed the Europa League group stage clash against BATE Borisov on Thursday night.

And Sarri has appeared to hint that it is unlikely that Hazard will be ready for Chelsea FC’s trip to Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking at a news conference on Wednesday before the Europa League clash against BATE Borisov, Sarri said: “He [Hazard] has a back problem.

“We are trying to solve the problem for Sunday [but] I think it is not very easy [for him to recover in time].”

Chelsea FC have been earning lots of praise for their solid performances so far this season, and they remain unbeaten in the Premier League.

The west London side looked as though they were heading to their first defeat of the season in the top flight last weekend when Manchester United led 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

However, Ross Barkley proved to be the hero when he netted an equaliser deep into stoppage time at Stamford Bridge to earn a point for the home side.
