The 24-year-old has made a brilliant start to life at the Anfield outfit to begin to turn a corner under the careful management of Jurgen Klopp.
Oxlade-Chamberlain came into his own in the second half of the 2017-18 Premier League season alongside compatriots Jordan Henderson and James Milner.
The England international scored the opener in a 4-3 win over Manchester City in the Premier League back in January to end the Citizens’ unbeaten start to the season.
The 2017 summer signing was on the score-sheet again in a 3-0 victory over Pep Guardiola’s side in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
However, his season was cruelly cut short when Oxlade-Chamberlain suffered a serious knee problem in 5-2 win over AS Roma in the opening leg of their last-four tie.
The Liverpool FC number 21 will have a battle on his hands to reclaim a starting spot upon his return following the arrival of midfielders Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri in the summer.
But Henderson, who succeeded Steven Gerrard as Liverpool FC captain in 2015, sent a message of support to Oxlade-Chamberlain as the Englishman continues his rehabilitation from injury.
“It’s very difficult for Ox. The great performances he was putting in before he got injured made it one of the best periods of his career so far. So to get injured for such a long time is hard to take,” said Henderson in the Liverpool FC magazine.
“The type of lad he is, he’s very positive, very good to be around, and he’s remained like that. I’m sure he’ll have his moments at home and maybe here at Melwood when the lads aren’t here, but whenever I speak to him he’s always positive and he always looks good.
“He’s a great lad and I just hope he can keep getting stronger and get back to us as soon as he can, because he’s a massive, massive player for us.
“I’ve played with Ox for a long time, from England U21s upwards, and I knew how good he was then. It was a massive bonus that we signed him and I know he will come back stronger. When he does and he gets back into his rhythm, he’ll be straight back in.
“So, fingers crossed he keeps going the way he has been because I think he’s progressing well with his rehab. Hopefully that will continue because Ox has got a big part to play whenever he is back.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain completed a £40m move to Liverpool FC from Arsenal on transfer deadline day in the 2017 summer window.
The England star opted to move to Liverpool FC despite reportedly undergoing a medical at Chelsea FC before opting to move to the Anfield outfit.
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term thanks to Oxlade-Chamberlain’s contribution in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The England international has scored five goals for Liverpool FC since his move to Anfield in August 2017.
1) 7-1 win over Maribor in the Champions League on 17 October 2017.
2) 4-1 win over West Ham in the Premier League on 4 November 2017.
3) 5-0 win over Swansea in the Premier League on 26 December 2017.
4) 4-3 win over Man City in the Premier League on 14 January 2018.
