The Reds star has made a superb start to the Premier League season to earn rave reviews.
Milner scored in Liverpool FC’s 2-0 win at Crystal Palace in their second league fixture of the season.
The 32-year-old also got on the score sheet in a dramatic 3-2 victory over Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
The former Leeds United midfielder is keeping summer signings Fabinho and Naby Keita out of Jurgen Klopp’s first team.
Milner came off the bench to help steer Liverpool FC to a 3-0 win against Southampton at Anfield last weekend – and he played 86 minutes of the 1-1 draw with Chelsea FC on Saturday.
Ex-Liverpool FC defender Warnock lavished praise on Milner for his exceptional start to the Premier League campaign.
“He is technically brilliant,” Warnock told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“He is brilliant on the ball. His assist record was higher than Neymar and Mbappe. We’re talking about Milner.
“He has plenty more to his game than combative midfielder. People who know football appreciate him so much.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth spot in the Premier League table last term to ensure their continued participation in the Champions League.
The Merseyside outfit signed Alisson Becker, Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri in the 2018 summer transfer window.
The Reds will take on Serie A runners up Napoli on Wednesday night in their next Champions League fixture following a 3-2 win over PSG last time out.
