Watford captain Deeney lavished praise on Gomez for his impressive performances in the Liverpool FC team.
“Gomez is a beast of a player,” Deeney told BBC Radio 5 Live. “He is going to be England’s centre-half for the next 15 years.
“Playing alongside Van Dijk, he is only going to get better.”
Gomez moved to Liverpool FC in a £5m deal from Charlton Athletic under Brendan Rodgers in the 2015 summer transfer window.
Liverpool FC have kept four clean sheets in their opening six games in the Premier League so far this season.
