The Reds are being talked up as potential title challengers in the current Premier League season.
Liverpool FC won their opening six Premier League games to secure top spot in the table ahead of their trip to Chelsea FC, and they played out a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Merseyside outfit have already passed one major test in the current campaign after a 2-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur.
Liverpool FC have finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014 but have never won the Premier League title.
Indeed, Benitez’s men ended up four points behind 2009 champions Manchester United after a close fought title race.
The Spanish head coach could count on the likes of Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso, Javier Mascherano, Fernando Torres and Pepe Reina.
Former Manchester United manager Moyes believes Benitez’s team was better than Klopp’s impressive Liverpool FC team.
“I don’t think so [Liverpool FC are better than their former sides],” Moyes told Sky Sports. “I think they’ve got a really good team.
“Liverpool had great teams when they had Gerrard, Alonso, Mascherano and Torres. This is a good Liverpool team.
“I don’t know if this team is quite as good. They are playing a good style and they have forward players who are exceptional.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth spot in the Premier League table last term to ensure their continued participation in the Champions League.
The Reds signed Fabinho, Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson Becker in the summer transfer window.
