The Brazilian goalkeeper has been getting used to life at Anfield after having signed for the Reds from the Italian side in the summer as Jurgen Klopp moved quickly to bolster his options between the posts.
Alisson has been a regular fixture in the first team for the Reds and he has started all seven of their Premier League games so far this season to help them up into second place in the table.
His move to Anfield emerged after Loris Karius’ Champions League final nightmare against Real Madrid back in May.
And the shot-stopper has now revealed how a conversation with former Liverpool FC star Coutinho helped to convince him that a move to Anfield was the right decision for him.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro, Alisson said: “He spoke highly of Jurgen [Klopp] and about the players.
“He said there is no vanity in the squad but it’s a very ambitious squad with a strong desire to win.
“Coutinho also said he was very happy here with his family, which is really important.
“Our wives spoke to each other too and they said they had a great time living here, and we are very happy.”
Liverpool FC came from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw in the Premier League clash against Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
The Reds are now preparing for their Champions League clash against Napoli in Italy on Wednesday night as they look to continue their fine start to the new campaign.
