Daniel Sturridge sends message to summer Liverpool FC signing
Daniel Sturridge praises Alisson Becker for his display for Liverpool FC against Chelsea FC on Saturday

Daniel Sturridge praised Alisson Becker for his strong performance for Liverpool FC in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea FC on Saturday.
The Brazilian goalkeeper has been getting used to life at Anfield after having signed for Jurgen Klopp’s side from AS Roma in the summer transfer window.
Alisson was unable to prevent Eden Hazard from firing Chelsea FC into the lead in the first half at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
But striker Sturridge came off the bench to net a superb equaliser for Klopp’s men and hand them a 1-1 draw from the clash in west London.
Alisson has been performing well between the posts for the Reds so far this season – and Sturridge was clearly impressed by the Brazil international’s display on Saturday in west London.
Speaking to Liverpool FC’s website, Sturridge said of Alisson’s performance: “Top drawer!
“He had a great game. He was unfortunate not to get a clean sheet but he’s a world-class goalkeeper, as is Si [Mignolet].
“We’ve got some good young goalkeepers at the club too but he’s showing his qualities and it was just important to keep going.
“Our defence have been really good also and they have had a lot of clean sheets so far this season, and they will be upset they haven’t got one today but I think all in all it’s probably a fair result.”
Liverpool FC now turn their attentions back towards Champions League affairs and their trip to Napoli in the group stage on Wednesday night.
The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term, but they have been Manchester City’s closest challengers so far this season, with the Merseyside outfit currently level on points with Pep Guardiola’s leaders.
