The 22-year-old has struggled to find consistency at Manchester United since Jose Mourinho took over the reins at Old Trafford in May 2016.
Martial, though, was Manchester United’s man of the match against unbeaten Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
The France international scored twice in the second half to cancel out Antonio Rudiger’s opener before Ross Barkley netted a late equaliser.
He also scored and was named as the man of the match once again in the 2-1 win over Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
The Manchester United forward will be hoping to build on a promising start to the Premier League after netting four times in October so far.
Martial netted 17 times in his first season at the 20-time English champions after Louis van Gaal signed the Frenchman from AS Monaco.
Indeed, the former Lyon youth product became the most expensive teenager in the world when he completed his £39m move to Old Trafford.
The talented forward scored on his Premier League debut in a 3-1 win over Liverpool FC at Old Trafford in September 2015.
BBC Sport pundit Crooks suggested that Martial has been put under too much pressure at Manchester United.
“I keep forgetting Anthony Martial is only 22 and yet so much is expected of him,” Crooks told BBC Sport.
“I suppose that comes from wearing a Manchester United shirt.
“Well, the Frenchman took his two goals brilliantly at Stamford Bridge and looked like a player.”
Martial missed out on a place in Didier Deschamps’ France squad that won the World Cup in Russia in the summer.
