The Red Devils have made a slow start to the Premier League season following just three victories from their opening seven games in the top flight.
Manchester United lost 3-2 to Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium back in August.
And the 20-time English champions followed up that result with a comprehensive 3-0 loss to title rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
They were then beaten 3-1 by West Ham on Saturday to leave them 10th in the table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City.
Tottenham have finished in the top four in the last four seasons and Spurs are in fourth place at present.
Former Liverpool FC striker Bellamy believes Manchester United and Spurs will battle it out for fourth place.
“I believe it will be a shoot-out between Man United and Spurs [for fourth place],” Bellamy told Sky Sports.
Manchester United ended up in second place in the Premier League table last term ahead of Tottenham.
The Red Devils signed Shakhtar Donetsk star Fred, Portuguese defender Diogo Dalot and Stoke goalkeeper Lee Grant in the summer.
