The Red Devils suffered a 3-1 loss to West Ham United at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Pogba struggled to have an influence on the fixture in the English capital as the France international continues to be inconsistent.
The 25-year-old was critical of Manchester United’s tactics in a 1-1 draw with promoted side Wolverhampton Wanderers last month.
Mourinho reacted by stripping Pogba of the vice captaincy as the Manchester United manager looked to flex his power at Old Trafford.
The World Cup winner has been regularly linked with a move to La Liga champions FC Barcelona since his success in Russia in the summer.
Former Manchester United midfielder Ince believes Pogba will secure a move in January to end his second spell at Old Trafford.
“I think his fate is completely sealed and he’ll be gone in January,” Ince told Paddy Power. “There’s talk of Mourinho going before him, but it’d be a disgrace if Ed Woodward allowed that to happen.
“If you do that, you’re essentially allowing a player to become bigger than the manager and the rest of his team.
“It’s time for Woodward to step up and back Mourinho.
“If he tells him that he’s upsetting the dressing room and still not playing at the level he should be, then he needs to back the manager and let him go. Pogba has caused far more trouble than he has good since returning to Man United.”
Pogba moved to Manchester United in a club record £89m deal from Serie A giants Juventus in the 2016 summer transfer window.
The France star has won the Europa League and the League Cup since his return to Manchester United from Serie A giants.
Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson oversaw the sale of Pogba to Juventus in 2012.
