Brazilian media outlet UOL Sport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Manchester United midfielder is weighing up his future at Old Trafford.
The same article states Pereira is unlikely to commit to a new deal and the Belgian-born midfielder could leave for nothing at the end of the season.
According to the same story, the Brazilian-born star is mulling over approaches from Manchester United’s direct rivals Arsenal and Chelsea FC.
The Premier League duo could face a battle to sign the 22-year-old amid interest from clubs in both La Liga and Serie A, according to the report.
Pereira has only made four appearances in the Premier League this season, coming off the bench for the final six minutes of their 2-2 draw with Chelsea FC last month.
The Manchester United playmaker has spent time on loan at Granada and Valencia over the past three seasons to gain vital experience due to a lack of first-team opportunities at Old Trafford.
Mourinho’s predecessor Louis van Gaal handed Pereira 11 appearances in the 2015-16 season to suggest the Belgian starlet was on the brink of permanently breaking into the Manchester United team.
However, Pereira has only made five additional appearances since Mourinho’s appointment.
