Michael Owen doesn’t anticipate Chelsea FC dropping points against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues were emphatic 4-0 winners against Burnley at Turf Moor last weekend as Ross Barkley stepped up to the mark in the absence of talisman Eden Hazard.

The England international made assists for Alvaro Morata and Willian as well as getting on the score sheet to net in his third successive Premier League game.

Chelsea FC remain unbeaten in the Premier League following a return of seven victories and three stalemates in their opening 10 games of the campaign.

Palace, on the other hand, managed to end Arsenal’s seven-game winning run last weekend after Roy Hodgson’s side battled to a 2-2 draw with their London rivals.

The Eagles haven’t picked up three points in their last five games in the Premier League since a 1-0 win at Huddersfield Town in September.

Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing the Blues to secure their eighth win of the Premier League campaign against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

“Maurizio Sarri became the first Chelsea manager to go unbeaten in his first 10 Premier League games when they thrashed Burnley 4-0 at Turf Moor on Sunday,” Owen told BetVictor.

“They can maintain their excellent start to the season at the expense of Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace in this London derby.

“The Eagles thoroughly deserved their point against Arsenal on Sunday and could have won at Goodison but for a missed penalty in their last away league game. They are likely to find this Blues side a different proposition however.”

Chelsea FC have been a surprise package in the current campaign given their change of management in the summer after Maurizio Sarri replaced Antonio Conte.

The Blues have collected 24 points from their opening 10 games to remain close to Liverpool FC and Manchester City above them.

Sarri’s side have dropped points in stalemates with West Ham United, Liverpool FC and Manchester United.

Hazard has been sidelined with a hip problem in their last two games but Barkley’s form has helped to fill the Belgian’s void.

Chelsea FC were 3-2 winners against Frank Lampard’s Derby County after Cesc Fabregas scored a first-half winner in the Carabao Cup fourth round on Wednesday night.

Sarri’s side haven’t lost a game in all competitions this season following three successive victories in the Europa League.
