Didier Drogba is confident Maurizio Sarri will continue to get the best out of the Chelsea FC players despite a 3-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

The Blues saw their unbeaten start to the 2018-19 season come to an emphatic halt after goals from Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min sealed a comfortable win for the north London side.

Chelsea FC dropped down to fourth place in the Premier League table following their surprise derby defeat to leave Sarri’s side seven points adrift of leaders Manchester City.

The FA Cup holders don’t have time to lick their wounds given that Fulham will make the short trip to Stamford Bridge for the west London derby on Sunday afternoon.

Premier League leaders Manchester City will provide Chelsea FC with their sternest test of the Premier League season so far in the English capital on 8 December.

Former Blues striker Drogba praised Sarri’s impact at Chelsea FC and backed the Italian head coach to continue to get the best out of his players despite last weekend’s setback.

“I think he has brought a lot of stability to the club,” Drogba told the Daily Express.

“This is his first season and he’s a young manager so what he’s doing in the Premier League is great because the Premier League is not an easy league to manage in.

“He’s getting the best out of the players and right now you see the results, they speak for themselves.

“The first defeat was only Saturday and I think he’s going to bounce back.

“We’re going to have some great results in the future.”

Chelsea FC will take on Greek side PAOK at Stamford Bridge in the Europa League on Thursday night before Sarri’s side take on Fulham on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term.
