The England international has been in excellent form for the west London side in the current campaign following Maurizio Sarri’s appointment as Antonio Conte’s replacement.
Chelsea FC signed Barkley in a £15m deal from Everton in the January transfer window after the playmaker failed to commit to a new long-term deal at the Merseyside outfit.
The talented Scouser moved to Chelsea FC despite having been sidelined for a prolonged spell with a serious hamstring problem.
The 24-year-old struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in the Chelsea FC team in the second half of the 2017-18 Premier League season under Conte to raise questions about his move.
However, Barkley has hit the ground running in the current campaign after former Napoli manager Sarri decided to place his faith in the English midfielder.
The Chelsea FC number eight has scored three goals and has made three assists in five starts and six substitute appearances in the 2018-19 Premier League season.
West Ham midfielder Wilshere highlighted Barkley’s impressive performances at Chelsea FC following his move to Stamford Bridge.
“It all comes down to having trust in your own ability. People can say what they want,” Wilshere is quoted as saying by The Sun.
“Ross is the perfect example. I’m so happy for him. He’s a good friend of mine and we were together at the World Cup in Brazil.
“He has always been a great player and sometimes it takes time for players to find their feet.
“Obviously, he moved clubs and you can also pick up a few injuries.
“But then it all comes down to him, his inner belief and, at the end of the day, his football ability has done the talking.
“I’ve always been confident and believed in myself. That is important in football because you can go through tough times.
“But if you always believe in yourself, you let your football do the talking.”
Barkley opened his Chelsea FC account with a goal in a 3-0 victory over Southampton at St Mary’s in October.
The England star netted a last-ditch equaliser in a 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge before he netted in successive games in a 4-0 win at Burnley.
