Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC will have to wait until summer to sign 20-year-old – report
Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC won't be able to make a move to sign Christian Pulisic until the summer, according to a report
Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC will have to wait until next summer to sign Christian Pulisic, even though the American playmaker is ready to move to the Premier League, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Borussia Dortmund star is ready to quit the Bundesliga side to move to the England top flight following regular speculation over the past few seasons.
The same article states that Pulisic has told his Dortmund team-mates that his future lies in the Premier League following three seasons in the Dortmund first-team after his move from USA in 2015.
It also credits both Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC with an apparent interest in landing the highly rated youngster.
According to the same story, the Bundesliga title challengers are prepared to sell Pulisic in the summer to avoid losing the United States international on a free transfer in 2020.
Indeed, Pulisic has 18 months left to run on his current deal with Dortmund, having been touted with a potential switch to Liverpool FC since Jurgen Klopp took over the reins in October 2015.
The Reds manager was in charge of Dortmund when Pulisic completed the move to the Westfalenstadion but the 20-year-old was handed his debut by Klopp’s successor Thomas Tuchel.
Pulisic has also been touted as a target for Chelsea FC despite the change of manager in the summer after Maurizio Sarri replaced Antonio Conte.
The American star has scored 15 goals in 107 games in all competition over the past three and a half seasons at Dortmund.
