Sky Sports is reporting that the Blues are keeping tabs on the France international’s situation at Old Trafford as the January transfer window looms large.
The same story says that Juventus are also monitoring the France striker’s situation ahead of the January transfer window.
The report states that Manchester United recently triggered a one-year extension to Martial’s contract at Old Trafford, meaning that he is now tied down to the club until the summer of 2020.
However, it also claims that Manchester United still remain “very far” from reaching an agreement with Martial for a new contract.
The story also suggests that Chelsea FC are interested in signing the striker if they can offload one of their own players in forthcoming transfer windows.
Martial has been in solid form for Manchester United so far this season, scoring six goals in the Premier League in nine appearances in the top flight for Jose Mourinho’s men, despite only starting seven times.
He has also netted once in four Champions League games for the Red Devils this term.
Martial will be hoping to feature when Manchester United return to Premier League action on Saturday with a home clash against Crystal Palace.
