The French midfielder has put pen to paper on a new deal to keep him at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2023 after weeks of speculation about his future.
Kante has earned a reputation as a key player for Chelsea FC since his move to the club from Leicester City back in 2016.
He helped the Blues win the Premier League title in his first campaign at the club and was also part of the side that lifted the FA Cup trophy last season.
Chelsea FC confirmed the news that Kante had signed a new deal early on Friday morning, and the midfielder expressed his delight at extending his stay at the club in an interview with their official website.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC, Kante said: “I’m happy to extend my time with Chelsea, it has been two beautiful years and I wish for more to come.
“Since I came, I completely improved as a player, challenged myself and got some awards I never thought about.
“I like the city, I like the club and I am happy to be here for more time.”
Kante will be expecting to feature for Chelsea FC when the Blues return to Premier League action on Saturday evening with a crunch clash against Tottenham at Wembley.
The Blues head into this weekend’s round of fixtures in third place and four points off top spot.
