The Daily Star is reporting that the Blues are one of a number of clubs monitoring the Wales international’s situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
Ramsey is set to become a free agent at the end of the season when his current deal with the north London side expires after the two parties failed to agree terms with regards to a new contract.
The League Cup runners up withdrew a contract offer to open up the possibility of Ramsey leaving for nothing at the end of the Premier League campaign.
The same article states that the west London side have been surprised by the dramatic improvement of English duo Barkley and Loftus-Cheek this season.
According to the same story, the form of the central midfield pair has prompted Chelsea FC to reconsider whether they would need to sign Ramsey to bolster their options in the middle of the park.
Maurizio Sarri already has a plethora of midfield options to choose from after the signing of Napoli midfielder Jorginho and Real Madrid’s World Cup finalists Mateo Kovacic in the summer.
Cesc Fabregas and N’Golo Kante have been stalwarts of the Chelsea FC midfield over the last two seasons under Sarri’s predecessor Antonio Conte, winning the Premier League and the FA Cup.
France international Tiemoue Bakayoko was sent on loan to Serie A giants AC Milan after a disappointing first season at the west London side.
Given the array of talent at Sarri’s disposal, Ramsey could have a hard time breaking into the Chelsea FC team should the Wales international opt to make the switch across the English capital.
