Spanish media outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that FC Barcelona are eager to sign the Belgium international to replace Ousmane Dembele, 21.
The France international has lost his way at the Catalan side over the past 18 months or so following his £120m move to FC Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund.
The same article states that FC Barcelona are running out of patience with Dembele following a series of ill-disciplined incidents in his fledgling career at the Spanish outfit.
According to the same story, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez views Hazard as a natural successor to Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portugal international moved to Juventus in the summer.
The Daily Star go on to suggest that the Champions League holders are confident that Hazard’s price will drop given the 27-year-old has little over 18 months left on his current deal.
Hazard has scored seven goals in 11 games in the Premier League this season to make a scintillating start to campaign under Antonio Conte’s replacement Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea FC are in third place in the Premier League table and four points behind current leaders Manchester City.
The Blues will take on Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Saturday evening.
