Liverpool FC owner’s wife reacts to 2-0 win over Fulham
Linda Pizzuti Henry took to social media in the wake of Liverpool FC's 2-0 win over Fulham on Sunday
Linda Pizzuti Henry, the wife of Liverpool FC owner John W Henry, took to social media on Sunday to celebrate the Reds’ 2-0 victory over Fulham at Anfield in the Premier League.
The Merseyside outfit have been in solid form this season and they are one of the main contenders for the Premier League title under Jurgen Klopp.
Heading into Sunday’s game though, Liverpool FC had drawn three of their last five games in the Premier League – their latest stalemate a 1-1 draw at Arsenal earlier this month.
But goals from Mohamed Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri at Anfield helped the Reds return to winning ways in the top flight and ensure they headed into the international break on the back of a victory.
Linda Pizzuti Henry often takes to social media to celebrate Liverpool FC wins – and she was clearly pleased by the Reds’ victory on Sunday as she posted a picture of Mohamed Salah along with the caption on Twitter: “3 points today from Fulham!”
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp was happy with the performance, although he admits that his side could have found the net more often.
“I don’t know how exactly many chances there were today, it’s not too important,” Klopp told his post-match news conference.
“We scored twice, maybe it’s a bit strange that one was after a quick restart and one after a set-piece, the second ball phase, but that’s very important as well that you have these situations and you can use it. So I’m completely happy.
“Apart from scoring more goals it was a really good performance.”
Liverpool FC will travel to Watford after the international break.
