Paul Pogba has told his close friends that he wants to leave Manchester United and return to Juventus, according to a report in Italy.

Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport, as quoted by talkSPORT, is reporting that Pogba is considering a potential move back to Turin.

The same article states that the France international’s fallout with Jose Mourinho earlier this season has contributed to his discontent at Old Trafford.

According to the same story, Pogba has informed his former Juventus team-mates that he is keen to secure a transfer back to the Serie A champions.

Indeed, the Corriere dello Sport claim that the World Cup winner wants to be part of the Juventus family once again.

Manchester United signed Pogba in an £89m deal from Juventus in the 2016 summer transfer window after Mourinho brought the versatile midfielder back to Old Trafford.

Sir Alex Ferguson made the decision to allow Pogba to move to the Turin side for a cut price £800,000 in 2012 after the Scot refused to guarantee the France star regular first-team football.

Pogba won the Europa League and the League Cup in his first season back at Old Trafford but the 25-year-old has struggled for consistency over the past 18 months or so.

The France star was stripped of the vice captaincy at Manchester United earlier this term after Pogba appeared to criticise Mourinho’s tactics.
