The Red Devils looked as though they were heading towards another defeat by the Italian side after Cristiano Ronaldo put the home team 1-0 up in the 65th minute with a superb volley.
However, Manchester United fought back and equalised thanks to Juan Mata’s late free-kick, before Ashley Young’s set-piece was directed into his own net by Juventus defender Alex Sandro in the 89th minute.
The late winner sparked wild celebrations amongst the Manchester United players – and Mourinho walked onto the pitch with his hand around his ear after the final whistle in an apparent dig at Juventus fans.
And former Manchester United midfielder Scholes was clearly not too impressed with Mourinho’s behaviour after the final whistle.
Speaking to BT Sport after Wednesday’s win, Scholes said: “You need to win with a bit of class.
“I don’t think there is any need for that. Go over and clap the away fans, shake the manager’s hand.
“It is needless but that is just the way he is.”
The victory left Manchester United second in Group H and two pointe behind leaders Juventus after four games.
The Red Devils will now prepare for their Premier League clash against bitter local rivals Manchester City at The Etihad on Sunday afternoon before the final international break of the season.
